BMW has announced additions to its 3 Series Convertible and 1 Series Coupe ranges. They will both have world debuts at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The 320d Convertible will be the most frugal in the range returning 53.3mpg and CO2 emissions of just 140g/km. The turbocharged 2.0-litre diesel engine will also offer 177bhp and 258lb ft of torque. Top speed will be around 139mph and 0-62mph is capable in 8.6 seconds. The 320d SE Convertible is priced from £33,110 and the M Sport model from £35,735.
The 125i Coupe joins the twin-turbo 135i M Sport, the four-cylinder 120d, and the 123d in the line-up. Accelerating to 62mph in 6.4 seconds, with a top speed of 152mph, it generates 218bhp from its 3.0-litre engine, delivering 35.8mpg and CO2 emissions of 190g/km. It will be priced from £23,195, and the M Sport model - which receives 18" alloy wheels, sports seats and body styling - costs £25,050. All models go on sale from March 2008 Also on the stand at Geneva will be the new fourth generation M3 Convertible, the new BMW X6 and details of new specifications for 1 Series, 3 Series and X3 ranges
