Story/Description: Set in a world created by best-selling Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski, The Witcher combines spectacular action and an intriguing storyline. You are a Witcher, a warrior who has been trained to fight since childhood, subjected to mutations and trials that have transformed you. You earn a living killing monsters, and are a member of a brotherhood founded long ago to protect people from werewolves, the undead, and a host of other beasts. The game uses advanced graphics and physics systems for a high-powered blend of brutal action, complex RPG options and character configuration, and sweeping storytelling. Mini Review This is a good game. I have played through this and it took me about 3 weeks to complete, it also has different ways you can go about playing it and you can make different decisions which will affect how things pan out. I recommend this game to anyone who likes RPG's, make sure you patch it to 1.2 ![]()

Well, it's more of a action RPG, so if by RPG you're thinking of traditional RPG's (like Final Fantasy), then you might actually like it.
I really enjoyed the Witcher myself, and I can't stand 99% of traditional RPG's. (BTW, yes, I know this thread is a month old. ) |

It was pretty much a given for me to like The Witcher, as I love games with a dark, gritty atmosphere and I enjoyed playing quite a few action RPG's that came before it (like the Elder Scrolls series, for example).
Versus traditional RPG's where the only two I liked (that I can think of off the top of my head) were the Suikoden series and Secret of Mana. Heh. |
