Hello people its me again.
![]() You have found the super newb(not noob coz noobs suck) guide to playing PSX or more commonly known as the PS1 games on your PSP...WITHOUT A PS3!!! Can't wait? Lets get to it.... Things you need : Custom Firmware [ Has '-OE' or '-m33' after the firmware version] If you don't have it you will need to get hold of a pandora battery and a magic memory stick....If not just go to a games store and ask them to 'modify' your psp. This File: Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem! (credit to tinman from psp-hacks for taking the time thought u don't need everything in it XD) Steps: 1.Download the pack. What you have just downloaded is called POPSloader. It is used to emulate PSX games on the psp and it was created by Dark Alex. Emulation was by Sony though so thank them .2.Enter USB mode 3.Create an 'SEPLUGINS' folder on the root of your psp memory stick. The root is the first thing you see when you enter your psp Drive. 3.Copy the contents of the folder(popsloader folder, popsloader.prx, pops.txt) into your SEPLUGINS FOLDER. 4.Turn off your psp 5.Turn on your psp while holding the 'R' trigger to enter recovery mode. 6.Go to plugins and enable popsloader 7.Exit and Now you can play PSone games *.* __________________________________________________ Getting PS1 games... 1.To play PS1 games, you first need to make the game image into an Eboot.pbp. This can be tricky but you will need this file. After downloading, rip your psp disk and follow the programs instructions. I highly recommend though is to search "PSX eboots" in torrent sites as these will allow you to find games which are already confirmed to be working on psp. 2.Alright you got your game..What's next? The next part is simple but you must understand. The file you have downloaded will have this file,"Eboot.pbp", and it MAY have this file,"Keys.bin". What you have to do is create a folder and put these files into the folder. Then put the folder into your GAMES folder in the psp.It should be like this. X:\PSP\GAME\(folder you created\ 3.Alright so your game has appeared. The last step is choosing the POPS version to play it with. Certain games work best with certain pops.So take your time and find out which one is the optimum for gameplay. When you first start your game, a menu with all the pops version available will come up. Pick anything but I recommend you Pick 3.71 as it seems to be the best so far (I love digimon world 3 =D).If you should want to change the pops version your game loads it. Hold down the R-trigger and select your game. Keep holding until the pops menu comes up again. Well thats it...I may post a link for a ps1 game soon but I'm too tired atm :S. Feel free to ask any questions. Chilipadiboy and GBAdvanced rulez kk . Peace!WARNINGS Unfortunately I have to put this... POPSloader has known issues with the plugin CXMB. If you encounter this, just remove the CXMB entry from vsh.txt and it should be fine afterwards. There is a REEEEEEAAALY small chance of bricking( Virtually non-existant...Try 1/100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000000000) If you follow my newbie proof instructions. Nothing will go wrong. Finally, try not to play multidisk games which do not allow games saves before the changing of disk e.g. Chrono trigger or smth{I don't own a PSX myself =O }as posploader does not support disk changing as of yet . Final fantasy is playable though since you get to save before you have to change disks.Chilipadiboy is not less sexy than you. If you dare assume that I will hunt you down ![]() Annnd to further prove my awesomeness..... Spyro the Dragon eboot <<<<Remember to put it IN a folder before putting it in your GAME folder.
